Dr. Pratibha Desai is a medical hematologist/oncologist who has been in practice for over twenty five years in the St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay Area. Originally from Mumbai, where she completed medical school, she later pursued an additional Masters in Public Health from University of South Florida with an area of concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. During her graduate medical training in Chicago, IL she rotated at Rush University, Westside VA, and the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD. She held a teaching position for two years at Cook County Hospital before moving to St. Petersburg, FL and dedicating her life to leading and growing Comprehensive Hematology/Oncology.
Her philosophy is to take a personal approach for her patients. She understands the needs of Floridians when it comes to healthcare. Cancer is a very serious illness, and she believes in giving the best of her knowledge and compassion to create a caring treatment environment for each patient. She keeps her knowledge up to date, not just in the field of medicine, but also in the everchanging healthcare environment.
