Dr. Shah comes to Comprehensive Hematology-Oncology from Trover Health Care Systems/Baptist Health – Mahr Cancer Center in Madisonville, Kentucky, where he served as Medical Director.  Before that, he served as Medical Director at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, Michigan.  In his heart, patient care is a spiritual calling of the utmost importance.

He has over 30 years of experience in Radiation Oncology with specialized training at Fermilab for neutron therapy as well as brachytherapy and hyperthermia.
Dr. Shah completed his residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center Mercy Hospital and Columbus in Chicago.  Before that, he also served a year internship and year of residency at Gujarat Cancer Center Research Institute at the B.J. Medical College Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, India, where he served as a guest lecturer in pathology.  He also completed a year of externship at West Virginia University Medical Center, Morgantown, West Virginia.  He received his medical degree from B.J Medical College in Ahmedabad, India, and was awarded the National Merit Scholarship issued to only 100 of its top students.

He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation & Oncology (ASTRO), and the American College of Radiology (ACR).  He has also participated in National Cancer Research protocols.  Dr. Shah is married with three daughters and enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.  Dr. Shah is also an accomplished spiritual individual which drives his purpose in treating his patients.
