Vinod Kumar, MD
Dr. Vinod Kumar is a board-certified Hematologist Oncologist and board-certified Internal Medicine. Dr. Kumar received
his medical degree from Liaquat University of Health and Medical Science. After he completed MBBS training, he began
fellowship training in Pakistan and took the MRCP exam for the United Kingdom licensing boards. Dr. Kumar completed his
Internal Medicine residency training and went on to complete his Hematology Oncology Fellowship at Saint Joseph’s
University, Paterson, New Jersey. He then went on to complete advanced Fellowship training in bone marrow transplant
at Mayo clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He is very enthusiastic about medical literature and has contributed as an author
to several medical journals and research studies for Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Kumar has specialized training in treating blood cancers like Lymphoma, Leukemia, and Myeloma, and has done advanced
training in cancers from the Mayo Clinic. He has trained in Autologous and Allogeneic transplants for related disorders and
trained to do CAR-T therapies for these disorders. In addition, Dr. Kumar specializes in
treating blood disorders such as anemia, leukopenia, leukocytosis, thrombocytopenia,
thrombocytosis, monocytosis, eosinophilia, and iron metabolism disorders. Dr. Kumar
has expertise in treating cancer and related conditions of the breast, lung, and GI cancers,
and in treating genitourinary cancers like ovarian, bladder, and renal.
Dr. Kumar believes in bringing science, spirituality, and a holistic science approach
to treating patients. Dr. Kumar’s goal is to be the physician for your whole family, not
just for patients, as he believes any disease affecting one person affects the dynamics
of the family too.
